Two heavyweights of online gambling are on trial here in our test for the best. In our BetUS vs. BetOnline match up, we will compare bonuses, banking, sports and poker platforms, and other factors that gamblers consider when choosing a site.

Who gets the nod for the better gambling site? Read on and see if you agree with our verdict.

BetUS vs BetOnline Overview

BetUS and BetOnline are both well-established, full-service gambling sites with casinos, poker rooms, sportsbooks, and racebooks.

They have been serving US bettors for decades, and they both have their advantages depending on what you like.

For example, a casino gambler may prefer BetOnline for its larger selection of casino games and free spins bonus. Sports bettors, however, may choose BetUS for its big sports welcome bonus and information from the site’s exclusive BetUS TV service.

Both sites have a good offering of sports betting contests, but BetUS has more contest action on the casino side.

Odds for most sports events at the sites seem comparable across the board, but it’s not hard to find a bargain at either site.

Full Breakdown of BetOnline vs BetUS

Let’s take a more detailed approach to the comparison between these two gambling sites. Here, we look at categories that beginners and experienced players consider most when deciding on a site and see how BetOnline and BetUS measure up.

Player Experience & Reception

BetUS casino homepage

BetOnline and BetUS have different looks and color schemes but similar setups.

BetUS emphasizes promotions on its landing page, while BetOnline takes you right to the sportsbook action with a display of in-game betting and popular lines for the day.

Both sites navigate easily with menus and dropdowns that lead to most places on each site. But I like BetUS because it doesn’t require a separate sign-in for poker, its mobile site has a better display for navigation, and it is simpler to find games to play for free.

  • Winner: BetUS

Sportsbook

Sports betting displays can be confusing, but both BetUS and BetOnline make it relatively easy to find any bet types and events of the day.

BetOnline emphasizes sports, has a good props platform, and allows same-game parlays. Meanwhile, BetUS has a new navigation setup for mobile players with large buttons for conventional and prop bets.

Odds seem to go up earlier and change quicker at BetUS, and they offer stuff like props on eSports and lots of free handicapping contests. Both sites have good information sources.

BetOnline has a newsroom with picks, but it is hard to tell what their posting schedule is. The BetUS TV spots are insightful and cover the major sports, and their Locker Room page has a menu that puts you a click away from analysis and picks on big upcoming events.

Casino Games

Betonline casino image

BetOnline and BetUS have lively collections of casino games from top software providers. But BetOnline carries the casino category on sheer numbers.

Slots make up the majority of more than 1,200 games at BetOnline, plus they have 70 live casino games and 23 specialty or casual games.

BetUS carries more than 650 games, has a simpler mobile setup, and makes it easier to play free games.

  • Winner: BetOnline

Poker

BetUS has added a poker room to its site in recent years, but they’re still catching up. Finding the right games is awkward. They seem to offer tournaments only, which is fine, and they have plenty of freerolls and fee-based games. But I couldn’t find any regular cash ring games.

BetOnline has an app devoted to poker, which is handy for mobile players and helpful to avoid the extra step of signing in to the platform. But you can find limit, pot limit, and no-limit Hold’em and Omaha cash games as well as tourneys.

  • Winner: BetOnline

Banking

Both sites have a variety of payment options, but BetOnline’s variety and limit amounts are more wide-ranging.

betonline banking image

BetOnline encourages cryptocurrency; they offer 16 crypto options for deposits and withdrawals. They offer top credit cards for deposits, but they charge fees. And they offer the unique option of a player-to-player borrowing and lending system.

BetUS has similar options but less variety when it comes to crypto. They only offer 4 valid crypto methods (Bitcoin, BitcoinCash, Litecoin, Ethereum) in addition to major credit cards and bank wire deposits. You can withdraw funds via crypto, courier check, and bank wire withdrawals.

At BetOnline, you can withdraw up to $100,000 with some cryptos, while BetUS has a withdrawal limit of $5,000 for all payment systems.

  • Winner: BetOnline

Bonuses

Bonuses are dependent on personal playing styles, but I like bonuses that are simple and free of restrictions and requirements.

That’s why I prefer BetOnline’s 100 free spins on the casino side and $250 in free bets at the sportsbook. The only restriction on the spins is a $100 limit on winnings, and the free sportsbook bets have no restrictions.

Betonline promotions image

If your goals are more lofty, BetUS’s $5,000 casino bonus or $3,625 sports bonus may be more to your liking. But the casino bonus carries a 40 times rollover, and the sportsbook bonus has a 14X playthrough.

  • Winner: BetOnline

Unique Features

I like having as much information at hand when I bet on anything, so features that are outlets to extra info are pluses.

BetUS TV image

I note the fact that BetOnline carries a phone support service that most online gambling sites lack.

But BetUS TV and its Locker Room page are excellent info sources for bettors looking to get an edge. I’d say that out of many of the sportsbooks I’ve visited, BetUS offers the most value when it comes to analysis and prediction-style content.

Who Wins the BetUS vs BetOnline Matchup?

As you can see, this BetOnline vs. BetUS matchup is a hard one to settle because both sites have their attributes and drawbacks. But I’ll give BetOnline the slight edge on the strength of their stocked casino, their straightforward bonuses, and their more diverse poker room.

BetUS gets points for their sports information and mobile play, so sports wagerers may choose that direction. Overall, however, BetOnline wins the day.
