Where do you find a good poker game in Florida? People in The Sunshine State have a few legal options. One is to hit the road to one of the live games at walk-in casinos or poker rooms in the state.
But to sit in on a game from the privacy of your own home, the best options for online poker in Florida are the ones we cover here.
Real money online poker in Florida is available only through betting sites and poker rooms that are based and licensed in foreign countries or “offshore.” Here, I will review and rate the best online poker sites in Florida.
Is Online Poker Legal in Florida?
By law, Florida cannot host real-money online poker sites, but players in the state can access top poker sites based in foreign licensing jurisdictions.
The only legal online betting within Florida is sports betting through the Seminole tribe’s Hard Rock Bet app.
Social casinos that offer coin-exchange winnings are accessible, but are the target of a lawsuit by the state Attorney General. Any legal expansion of online gaming would require an agreement between the Seminoles and the state, or legislation on a statewide referendum. That is not likely in the near future.

Offshore and Sweepstakes Poker Sites
While Florida does not allow online poker within its borders, poker players in the state can turn to offshore sites for their online action.
Meanwhile, sweepstakes or social casinos that include poker are on shaky ground in the state. Sites such as Chumba Casino and Global Poker are ostensibly free-play sites, but they skirt the law by offering players the option of purchasing coins that make them eligible for cash-prize games.
The Top 4 Real Money Florida Poker Sites
We’ve scoured the online poker scene and found the best real money Florida poker sites we think players will like. Here are our top four:
BetOnline
BetOnline has been a top sports betting destination for US gamblers since the early 2000s and added a poker room about 10 years ago. The BetOnline poker room has grown into one of the top poker rooms anywhere.
The site offers a nice 100% matching bonus for up to $1,000 to get you started, and has some outstanding options for building your pot. The poker room offers the standard No-Limit Texas Hold’em and Omaha cash games and tournaments, but you can also find 5-card draw, 7-card stud, and even 5-card Omaha tables.
Sign up at BetOnlineThe rake rate is along the lines of most poker sites and contributes to the release of bonus funds (between 5 – 5.56%). The site is known for its steady traffic, so you will run into a wide range of quality among the players, particularly during peak evening hours on weekdays and weekends.
Look for tournaments with guaranteed prize pools each day as well as satellite events that can get you into bigger tournaments. If you like the site at first, you’ll want to try the BetOnline Poker Telegram Community, a unique feature that gives you access to exclusive tournaments, promotions, and news.
ACR
ACR is another site that has evolved since its beginnings as MyPokerNetwork in 2001. Its latest revision was in 2023 when it took on the ACR Poker name with a whole new look to the site. But it is a dedicated poker room that offers an excellent range of game types from basic Hold’em to variations of Omaha and 7-card stud.
This is a big-money tournament site with more than $9 million in guaranteed tournament play going each week. Plus, their Venom Series event has crossed the $15 million barrier in prize money, making it one of the biggest draws in the online poker world. And ACR has tournament staking for big-money players to put up funds for a competitor.
Sign up at ACR PokerWith so much money being tossed around, you can count on a high level of competition even at the cash-game tables. Still, there are lower-stakes tables where the competition is a bit softer. If you hit the site after 8 pm Eastern on most days, you will find plenty of action at all stakes levels.
The welcome bonus is a 100% match for up to $2,000 with a better-than-average 5:1 rake release rate.
Ignition
This is one of the classic poker sites among US players. It has been my personal poker home for years, because I like the clean, easy interface and the anonymous play that gives me an even shot at winning, at least through 20 or so deals.
There is also a good range of cash game stakes, starting with penny antes and going up to $30/$60. The game types are limited to Hold’em, Omaha, and Hi/Lo Omaha, but you can find plenty of tournament action starting from freerolls and going all the way up to big $250,000 satellite events.
Sign up at Ignition CasinoIgnition also has the unique Jackpot Sit & Go games, 3-player games that allow you to play for big jackpots with small buy-ins. Ignition also has a live-dealer section with generally higher stakes. Since the site hosts a casino, you have the option of a 150% matching bonus for up to $ 3,000 for poker and casino, or up to $1,500 for just poker.
On the poker side, the bonus is released in increments, according to points earned from rakes. I’ve found the quality of players to be average, but I’ve run into tables where I’m outmatched.
Bovada
Bovada is a sports betting site with a poker room that works under the same network as Ignition, so the poker setup is similar. But the look of the two poker interfaces is about as far as the similarities go. Because of the sports draw, Bovada appears to place a little less emphasis on poker. The poker bonus at Bovada is a 100% match for up to $500. They release bonus money through rake/rewards earnings at about the same rate as most sites.
The games include Hold’em, Omaha, and Hi/Lo Omaha, and you can find tournaments at every level, with at least one $1 million guaranteed event each month. Buy in for as little as $ .50 or as much as $200, and play for prize pools starting at $2,000.
Sign up at BovadaThere are knockout tournaments that award you for eliminating other players, as well as sit & go events and turbo tournaments that move along quickly. Bovada’s Quick Seat feature means you rarely have to wait in line for a table. The network connection guarantees a good amount of traffic and a mixed ability of players.
As a US-facing site, the peak traffic hours are also pm Eastern.

How We Picked These Poker Sites
The gaming experts at Gambling Nerd strive to give readers a fair deal by sorting out top sites, playing them, and rating them according to the categories most important to players. Naturally, we cover the legal aspects, but we also rate sites for factors such as:
Gaming Options
We tested the full range of cash games, tournament formats, and variants offered at each site. From No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha to mixed games and fast-fold tables, we checked all the games to ensure Florida players have enough variety to match their skill level and playing style.
Flexible Banking Methods
We reviewed each site’s deposit and withdrawal options available to Florida residents, weighing processing times, fees, minimum/maximum limits, and the availability of crypto and e-wallet alternatives alongside traditional methods.
Traffic and Tournament Performance
We monitored player pool sizes and peak activity hours across cash tables and tournaments to gauge how quickly Florida players could find action, along with the depth and frequency of guaranteed prize pool events.
Unique Poker Room Features
We looked beyond the basics to identify standout tools and extras—like rakeback programs, staking options, multi-tabling software, and player-friendly promotions—that set each room apart from competitors.
Poker Games Available at FL Poker Sites
Here are brief descriptions of the types of poker games folks in Florida will find at our recommended poker rooms:
No-Limit Texas Hold’em
By far the most popular poker game, No-Limit Hold’em seats you at tables of up to 9 players, with each player getting two cards on the initial deal. The player uses these two down cards to complete a five-card poker hand using five more “community” cards dealt to the center of the table. No limit means a player can bet all of their chips in any betting round. There are also pot-limit and fixed-limit versions of Hold’em.
Omaha
This game follows the same betting process as Texas Hold’em, but deals each player four down cards instead of two. The player is challenged to choose two of the four down cards to match with the five community cards and form the best five-card poker hand. This game usually has bet limits.
Hi/Lo
Normally paired with Omaha, this game rewards the lowest-ranked hand as well as the highest. The high and low hands split the pot. In rare cases, it is possible for a player to have both the high AND low hands and win the entire pot. (Ex: A-2-3-4-5 can count as a low hand) The cards are dealt the same way, and betting rounds are the same.
7-Card Stud
Once the most popular poker game, 7-Card Stud is still found at some top sites. Each player gets an initial deal of three cards, two down and one up. Rather than community cards, players are each dealt three more up cards and one more down, with betting rounds after each card comes out. The pot winner is the best five-card poker hand.
Florida Poker Sites You Can Actually Grind
As a dedicated player at Ignition, I’m inclined to pick that site as a favorite for playing day-in, day-out. The site serves my needs as a player who enjoys poker without necessarily being the best or a professional.
But a study of all four of our top Florida poker sites for real money may reveal features that serve you better. And there are other poker sites worth exploring. The important thing is that these four sites are the tops among what is available for Florida players. And I don’t see that status changing anytime soon.
