Favorites to Win the Daytona 500

Continue reading for a closer look at the NASCAR odds for the 2026 Daytona 500, courtesy of top sports betting sites.

Joey Logano (+1000)

Joey Logano is tied for the best odds to win the 2026 Daytona 500 at 10-1. Logano won this race in 2015 and has competed at Daytona every year since 2009.

He has not finished in the top 30 in back-to-back years. However, his poor finishes in recent years were due to late-race wrecks that prevented him from finishing. Logano has had five top 10 finishes since winning in 2015.

In 2024, Logano started from the pole position and led for a race-high 46 laps, but was one of 23 drivers caught up in the wreck on lap 192. Last year, Logano wrecked again late and was forced out of the race on lap 186.

If Logano can avoid a late wreck for the third straight year, he should be in the mix on the final lap.

Ryan Blaney (+1000)

The other Team Penske driver tied for the best odds to win the Daytona 500 is Ryan Blaney. Like Logano, Blaney was one of nine drivers tangled up in the wreck on lap 186 last year.

Blaney was able to continue the race but lost valuable track position and finished seventh. It was the sixth time in his career that Blaney finished in the top 10 at the Daytona 500. Despite finishing in the top 10 six times in his 11 previous appearances, Blaney has never won the Harley J. Earl Trophy.

After coming up short at Daytona, Blaney struggled to break through in the early part of the 2025 season. His first win came at the 2025 Cracker Barrel 400 in June.

Blaney won three other races in the second half of the season, including the 2025 Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway and the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race.

Maintaining his momentum from the latter half of the 2025 season is easier said than done. However, if Blaney can pull it off, he could walk away with his first Daytona 500 win on Sunday.

Austin Cindric (+1200)

Austin Cindric is another driver seeking his second Daytona 500 win. He led last year’s race for 59 laps, the most of any driver, but fell off late and finished eighth. It was Cindric’s best finish since his win in 2022.

Cindric’s sole win last season came during the 2025 Jack Link’s 500 at Talladega in April. He finished 14th in the NASCAR Cup Series, recording five top 10 finishes. His 325 laps led ranked ninth overall in the 2025 season.

Getting the lead was not Cindric’s issue last year. Maintaining it, on the other hand, proved challenging. If Cindric can find his way to the front of the pack and hold onto the lead, he will win his second Daytona 500.

William Byron (+1200)

The other driver listed at 12-1 odds is William Byron, the two-time defending Daytona 500 champion.

Byron took advantage of late-race crashes to claim the Harley J. Earl Trophy in back-to-back years. His success was not limited to Daytona, either, as he also won the 2025 Iowa Corn 350 and the 2025 Xfinity 500. Byron has finished in the top six of the NASCAR Cup Series for four straight years.

Since debuting at the 2018 Daytona 500, Byron has 16 total wins and 120 top ten finishes in his career. A win on Sunday would make Byron the first driver to win three consecutive Daytona 500s.

Mid-Tier Drivers With Betting Value

  • Denny Hamlin (+1600)
  • Bubba Wallace (+2000)
  • Tyler Reddick (+2200)

Denny Hamlin has the most Daytona 500 wins of any active driver with three. He won in 2016 and then went back-to-back in 2019 and 2020. He is listed at 16-1 odds to become just the third driver with four or more Harley J. Earl Trophies.

Another driver with exciting betting value is Bubba Wallace, who is available at +2000. He has three top-five finishes at Daytona, including two in the last four years. Wallace was the runner-up in 2018, which was his debut, and in 2022.

Speaking of runners-up, Tyler Reddick (+2200) finished second in this race last year. It was his best finish in the Daytona 500 so far in his career. Reddick has eight wins in his NASCAR career and 92 top 10 finishes.

Longshot Drivers Worth Considering

  • Ross Chastain (+3000)
  • John Hunter Nemechek (+6000)
  • Jimmie Johnson (+8000)

Ross Chastain (+3000) is my top longshot for this year’s Daytona 500. He finished 10th in the NASCAR rankings last year and has three top 10 finishes in this event.

Another underdog worth considering is John Hunter Nemechek. The six-year veteran is still searching for his first career win, but he does have 15 top-10 finishes under his belt. He has finished 11th or better in all three of his previous Daytona 500 appearances, including a career-best 5th place last year.

Racing legend Jimmie Johnson shocked fans last year by finishing third in the Daytona 500, his best finish in the event since he last won it in 2013. The 50-year-old Johnson, returning for his 23rd Daytona 500, is listed at +8000 odds to win. He has won twice before and finished in the top 10 nine times.

Daytona 500 Prop Bets

Bovada also has exciting Daytona 500 prop bets for Sunday’s race. Betting on props is a great way for sports betting beginners to wager on this weekend’s race.

Top 3 Finish

  • Austin Cindric (+325)
  • Joey Logano (+325)
  • Ryan Blaney (+325)
  • William Byron (+400)
  • Chase Elliott (+450)

Predicting a top-three finish is much easier than picking the outright winner of the 2026 Daytona 500. Austin Cindric, Joey Logano, and Ryan Blaney are tied for the best odds at +325 each. William Byron (+400) and Chase Elliott (+450) round out the top five.

Stage 1 Winner

  • Joey Logano (+500)
  • Ryan Blaney (+650)
  • Austin Cindric (+700)
  • Chase Briscoe (+800)
  • Chris Buescher (+1000)
  • Kyle Larson (+1000)

The Daytona 500 is split into three stages, and you can pick the winner for each. Joey Logano, for instance, is a 5-1 favorite to win the first stage of this year’s race. He won the first stage last year.

Ryan Blaney (+650) and Austin Cindric (+700) round out the top three. Blaney won Stage 2 last year, while Cindric led for over a quarter of the race.

Winning Manufacturer

  • Chevrolet (+140)
  • Ford (+140)
  • Toyota (+325)

Betting on the winning manufacturer is also a popular Daytona 500 prop wager. Chevrolet and Ford are tied for the best odds at +140. Toyota, which only has three Daytona 500 wins, rounds out the field at +325 odds.

Best Daytona 500 Bets

Here are my top Daytona 500 bets for Sunday’s race:

  • Daytona 500 winner: Austin Cindric (+1200)
  • Top 3 finish: Austin Cindric (+325)
  • 1st stage winner: Joey Logano (+500)
  • Winning manufacturer: Ford (+140)

Cindric had a strong showing last year and is well-positioned to take a step forward in 2026. Even if he does not win, he should at least finish in the top three. Also, like many other top options, Cindric drives a Ford.

On the other hand, Logano’s aggressive style gives him an edge early in the race, and he is my pick to win Stage 1.
