I have combed through the latest lines to find the best NFL player props available today. Keep reading to see my best bets and predictions for Week 2’s biggest games.

Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens – Jerry Jeudy’s Longest Reception

Baltimore’s defense melted down in their 41-40 loss to Buffalo on Sunday Night Football. The good news is the Ravens should have a much easier time this week against Cleveland. Baltimore is a double-digit favorite in the latest NFL Week 2 odds.

The Ravens should win, but their defense is far from perfect. Jerry Jeudy is listed over/under 21.5 yards for his longest reception in this game. Former Ravens’ QB Joe Flacco is known for taking deep shots, and Jeudy is his WR1 in Cleveland.

Flacco had 290 passing yards in Week 1, and Jeudy was the team’s leading receiver with 66 yards on five catches. His longest catch of the day against Cincinnati was 25 yards.

Baltimore allowed 394 passing yards in the loss to Buffalo, the most in the NFL. The Ravens allowed seven passes of 20+ yards in the loss. With that in mind, I think Jeudy covers the over in this prop.

New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys – Giants’ Last TD Scorer

The Giants failed to find the endzone in their 21-6 loss to the Commanders in Week 1. New York faces another divisional opponent this week as they travel to Dallas to take on the Cowboys.

Dallas allowed three touchdowns in its 24-21 loss to Philadelphia.

New York’s offense is several levels below Philly’s. However, I do think they will be able to score at least one touchdown on Sunday. I think Malik Nabers (+375) is the best bet to be New York’s last, and potentially only TD scorer in Dallas.

Russell Wilson and Nabers struggled to connect in Week 1. Wilson targeted Nabers 12 times but only completed five passes to the second-year receiver.

Over half of Nabers’ targets came in the second half. I expect New York to be trailing late, so they should have a pass-heavy scheme after halftime, increasing Nabers’ odds of scoring in garbage time.

New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins – Tyreek Hill’s Longest Reception

Speaking of teams who struggled in Week 1, the Dolphins were blown out by the Colts 33-8 last week. Miami returns home this week to host the Patriots, who are also coming off a loss.

Tyreek Hill was not immune to Miami’s struggles, catching four passes on six targets for 40 yards. On the bright side, his longest catch went for 21 yards. Hill’s longest catch this week is listed at over/under 22.5 yards.

The Patriots allowed Geno Smith to rack up 362 passing yards last week. So, Tua Tagovailoa should have an easier time throwing the ball this week. That will help Hill cover his total in this prop. 

Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets – James Cook’s Total Scrimmage Yards

Reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen was not the only one who showed out in the Bills’ 41-40 comeback win over Baltimore. Running back James Cook gained 102 scrimmage yards on 18 total touches in the win.

Cook is listed at over/under 72.5 combined rushing and receiving yards for this week’s matchup with the Jets.

He averaged 5.7 yards per touch against Baltimore, an improvement from his 5.2 YPT last season. Also, in his 16 starts last year, Cook totaled 1,267 yards from scrimmage, averaging nearly 80 yards from scrimmage per game. Cook averaged over 90 yards from scrimmage in 2023.

The Jets struggled to stop Pittsburgh’s offense last week. If those struggles continue, then Cook and the rest of Buffalo’s offense will have another productive day on Sunday. I expect Cook to cover the over on his scrimmage yards total this week.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Pittsburgh Steelers – Steelers’ Last TD Scorer

• Pat Freiermuth (+850)

Next on my list of the best NFL player props for Week 2 is this market for the Steelers’ last TD scorer. Jaylen Warren is the favorite at +400. However, I think that Pat Freiermuth (+850) is the best option.

Freiermuth caught all three of his targets against the Jets but only racked up 28 yards. Being a reliable receiver is the best way to earn the trust of Aaron Rodgers. Freiermuth is a sure-handed, big-bodied tight end who is a great goal line option.

Pittsburgh faces the Seahawks this week. Seattle allowed three tight ends and a fullback to rack up 10 catches for 76 yards and touchdowns last week. So, I expect Freiermuth and Jonnu Smith to see plenty of work this week.

Smith and Freiermuth are tied for the fifth-best odds in this prop. However, Smith had a TD last week, so it should be Freiermuth’s turn to score in Pittsburgh’s home opener.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Kansas City Chiefs – Saquon Barkley’s Total Scrimmage Yards

One of the most anticipated games of Week 2 features the Eagles taking on the Chiefs in Kansas City. These teams met in February, with Philadelphia dominating the game to win Super Bowl 59.

Philly would not have made it to the Super Bowl last year without Saquon Barkley’s record-breaking season. However, Barkley was held in check during the Big Game itself. He only had 57 rushing yards on 25 attempts.

Barkley also caught six passes for 40 yards, bringing his total yards for the game up to 97. He is listed at over/under 105.5 rushing and receiving yards for the rematch this week.

Kansas City’s run defense is top-notch, and they will once again be focused on stopping Barkley. Also, Barkley had just 84 total yards in Philly’s win last week. I think the Chiefs sell out to stop Barkley, holding him to under 105.5 combined rushing and receiving yards.

Los Angeles Chargers vs. Las Vegas Raiders – Geno Smith’s Longest Completion

The final bet on my list of the best player props for NFL games this week is Geno Smith to have a completion under 35.5 yards. Smith threw for 362 yards in his Raiders debut, leading Las Vegas to a win over the Patriots.

There is no denying that Smith was impressive in his first start for the Silver and Black. However, he faces a much tougher pass defense this week with the Chargers coming to town.

LA allowed just 206.9 passing yards per game last season, the seventh-fewest in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes was able to complete three passes of 36+ yards last week.

Smith had two such passes in the win over New England, but he is no Mahomes. This should be a run-heavy game, which will limit Smith’s passing attempts. LA’s defense will crack down on the Raiders’ passing attack and not allow Smith a completion of more than 35.5 yards.
