Chen Wins First Bracelet in Record-Setting WSOP Ladies Event

The 2026 World Series of Poker $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event drew 1,475 total players, but only one could win the record-setting prize. In the end, Skye Chen outlasted the record-breaking field to win her first WSOP bracelet.

2026 WSOP Ladies Event Sets New Record

With 1,475 entrants, this year’s WSOP $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event easily cleared the participant record set at the 2025 event (1,368 entrants). Among the field were some of the best women poker players in the world.

The large crowd also contributed to a huge prize pool. Everyone at the final table won over $16,000, with Chen and runner-up Aubrey Williams each netting six-figure prizes. The total prize pool for the event fell just shy of $1.3 million.

2026 $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event Final Table Results

Chen won the bracelet, but all of the women at the final table earned sizeable payouts.

How Skye Chen Won Her 1st Bracelet

Chen’s first bracelet win did not come easily. After traveling to Las Vegas to support her friends in a Mahjong tournament, Chen entered the $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event on a whim. With a run for the ages, she won her first piece of WSOP jewelry. 

Thrilling Final Table

Making the final table in a 1,400+ player field is easier said than done. Chen and the other five ladies who earned a spot on the final table had to survive three days of play just to make the top six.

At the beginning of the final day, Chen was second in chips behind Emily Spencer. After patiently eating into Spencer’s chip lead, Chen became the chip leader after she rivered a flush. However, Chen eventually lost the lead to Lisa Teebagy when the latter eliminated Caitlin Comeskey.

Teebagy came up short, though, losing the three-way battle when Chen beat her with pocket fives.

2 Hour Heads-Up for the Bracelet

With Teebagy out of the game, the 2026 WSOP $1,000 No-Limit Hold’em Ladies Event came down to Chen and Williams. Williams had a 5-3 chip advantage, but a costly bluff swayed the chip lead in Chen’s favor. It took over two overs of heads-up play, but Chen was able to hold off William’s comeback attempts and win her first WSOP bracelet in her first final table appearance.
