2026 Royal Rumble Predictions and Odds Analysis

Wagering on Royal Rumble predictions is a rite of passage for many wrestling fans. As the first of the Big Four PLEs, the Rumble officially kicks off the Road to WrestleMania. The 39th Royal Rumble is scheduled for Saturday, January 31st, 2026, and will air live from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

How Royal Rumble Betting Works

Royal Rumble betting works similarly to other WWE markets at the top wrestling betting sites, but it is more challenging. As with other match types, you win these wagers by picking the winner of the Royal Rumble.

Predicting the winner of the Rumble is easier said than done. With 30 participants in the match, plenty of sleeper picks are available. The field also allows for surprise entrants unlikely to win but capable of significantly impacting the match’s outcome.

At the time of writing, only six participants have been confirmed for this year’s rumble. They include:

• Cody Rhodes
• Gunther
• Jey Uso
• Rey Mysterio
• Dragon Lee
• Penta

Rhodes, Uso, and Mysterio are all former winners. Gunther, on the other hand, holds the record for the longest Rumble time in a traditional 30-man match.

Despite holding the record, Gunther (+200) has only the second-best odds to win this year’s Rumble. He is behind Roman Reigns, who is listed as the +175 favorite at top entertainment betting sites. Reigns won the Rumble in 2015.

Sami Zayn (+400), Bron Breaker (+500), and LA Knight (+600) round out the top five in this year’s Men’s Royal Rumble winner odds.

Top Contenders to Win the Royal Rumble

Here is a closer look at the top contenders to win this year’s Royal Rumble.

Roman Reigns (+175)

With 80% of the field up in the air, it is challenging to pick a Royal Rumble favorite. With that said, Roman Reigns (+175) is a safe bet to win this year’s Rumble at the best sports betting sites.

Reigns has not won the Rumble in a decade, but he has not competed in many since then, as he was either the champion or resting. Reigns has not held the top belt in over a year, and it could be time for the Tribal Chief to move into the title picture one last time.

There is bad blood between Reigns and Drew McIntyre, the current Undisputed WWE Champion. If Reigns wins the Rumble, it will be easy to build up a match between him and McIntyre at WrestleMania.

Gunther (+200)

Gunther set a record in the 2023 Royal Rumble, lasting 71 minutes and 40 seconds. Winning the Rumble this year could also be a full-circle moment for Gunther, who lost his World Heavyweight Championship to last year’s winner, Jey Uso, at WrestleMania 41.

There is no denying that Gunther is a main event-caliber superstar. As one of the top heels in the company, he would present a worthy challenger for CM Punk at WrestleMania.

On the other hand, Gunther has another match to worry about in Riyadh. He will face AJ Styles in a singles match with the latter’s career on the line. Considering that, I doubt Gunther is the last man standing in this year’s Royal Rumble.

Sami Zayn (+400)

Sami Zayn has the best odds of any true babyface at 4-1 to win the Royal Rumble. Zayn has competed for world titles before and has multiple tag team title and mid-card title reigns on his resume.

As a fan favorite, Zayn would be an easier choice to win the Rumble. He is also beloved in the Middle East, and the pop for a Zayn win in Riyadh would be one to remember.

However, since ending his part in the Bloodline storyline, Zayn has struggled to break out of midcard storylines. Considering that, it is hard to believe that Zayn will get the push that accompanies winning the Royal Rumble.

Viable Longshots and Dark Horse Picks

In a 30-man match like the Royal Rumble, there are sleep picks abound.

Bron Breakker, LA Knight, and Jacob Fatu have all been on the verge of entering the main event level for some time. Breakker and Fatu also set up easy future rematches with Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, respectively.

Brock Lesnar has two Rumble wins in his career and is always a threat to win the match. His star power makes it easy to build him into a WrestleMania main event match against any champion.

Logan Paul would be a surprising choice and would certainly upset some wrestling fans. Paul has earned the respect of many fans, though, and he made it to the final three in the 2025 Royal Rumble. If Paul is ready to commit to a main eventer’s workload, he should at least make an impact on this year’s Rumble.

Surprise Entrants That Impact the Betting Market

• Bo Dallas (+20000)
• El Grande Americano (+30000)

Goldberg is “retired,” but that has not stopped superstars from coming back in the past. His history with many top contenders, including Lesnar and Gunther, could be enough to bring Goldberg out of retirement for one more payday.

Bo Dallas, better known now as Uncle Howdy, and the rest of the Wyatt Sick6 could also have a major impact on this year’s Rumble. The sheer numbers of the faction could help them control the match.

El Grande Americano is another name to watch. Both Chad Gable and Ludwig Kaiser have played the character in recent years, setting up the potential for multiple El Grande Americanos to enter this year’s Rumble.

Best Royal Rumble Bets

Here are my best bets for this PLE, including my predictions for who will win the Royal Rumble.

Men’s Royal Rumble Winner

Breakker had a viral moment at last year’s Rumble when he speared IShowSpeed out of his shoes. He also joined Seth Rollins’ faction. The Vision, at WrestleMania, before turning on Rollins when the latter was injured.

He has been on a main event track since joining the main roster, and winning the Rumble is the push that Breakker needs to cement himself as a top star.

Women’s Royal Rumble Winner

The Women’s Royal Rumble is another excellent sporting event to bet on. Liv Morgan has consistently made long runs in recent years, so it is no surprise that she is the -115 favorite to win this year.

Other top contenders include Bianca Belair (+200), Rhea Ripley (+300), and Tiffany Stratton (+700). All three are former world champions, and Belair and Ripley have both won this match before.

Nia Jax (+2200) has never won the event, but she is one of the top heels in the Women’s division and has a history with WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill. Jax winning would set up a grudge match for the title at WrestleMania.

AJ Styles vs. Gunther

• Gunther (+215)

AJ Style announced late last year that he would be retiring in 2026. Styles’ legendary career could end sooner rather than later, as he is scheduled to face Gunther at the Royal Rumble PLE. If Styles loses, he must retire.

Styles is a -325 to beat Gunther. Taking down the Ring General has been easier said than done since he made the jump to the main roster.

On the other hand, the WWE can use Styles’ retirement tour in a similar, albeit lesser, fashion as they did with John Cena’s last year. With that in mind, I expect Styles to come out on top at the Rumble.
