Trump Impeachment Odds and Predictions

Less than a year into his second go-round as President, and many across the US are already wondering about another Trump impeachment. Trump was impeached twice during his first term, but was not removed from office before his term expired.
In this guide, I analyze the latest odds of Trump being impeached during his second term as President. Additionally, I will tell you my predictions and highlight the best site for betting on Trump’s impeachment odds.
Has Trump Committed Impeachable Offenses?
Top political betting sites have had odds for a possible Trump impeachment for months. However, the question remains: What has Trump done to be impeached? Comparing his actions to those of previously impeached Presidents can also help you predict whether Trump will be impeached again.
What Have Other Presidents Done to Be Impeached?
Three Presidents have been successfully impeached in the US. They include:
- Andrew Johnson (1868): Abusing presidential powers and violating the Tenure of Office Act.
- Bill Clinton (1998): Perjury and obstruction of justice related to concealing his affair with Monica Lewinsky.
- Donald Trump (2019): Abuse of presidential powers and obstruction of Congress.
- Donald Trump (2021): Inciting the January 6th Insurrection.
Trump is the only President to be impeached twice. However, in every previous impeachment, the Senate has failed to reach the two-thirds supermajority needed to convict the accused.
Trump’s Impeachable Offenses
The latest odds for a Trump impeachment only apply to his current term. According to his detractors, some of the impeachable offenses Trump has committed in his current regime include:
- Mobilizing troops in US cities
- Kidnapping, detaining, and deporting US citizens
- Usurping the power of Congress
- Defying court orders and usurping judicial authority
- Illegally imposing tariffs
- Abuses of presidential powers
The list goes on, and it could grow substantially depending on the outcome of the Epstein files case.
Who Can Impeach Trump?
Congress has the power to impeach a president. It starts with the House bringing the Articles of Impeachment. Then, it is the Senate’s responsibility to try the case.
Two Democrats have already brought Articles of Impeachment against Trump in 2025. Rep. Shri Thanedar (MI) introduced seven Articles of Impeachment in April, including obstruction of justice, usurpation of congressional powers, and tyranny.
In June, Rep. Al Green (TX) introduced another Article of Impeachment alleging that Trump usurped Congress’s power to declare war. Green introduced the impeachment articles after Trump bombed nuclear sites in Iran, an act of war, without prior approval from Congress.
Trump Impeachment Odds
- Trump will be impeached (-120)
- Trump will not be impeached (-120)
BetOnline Sportsbook currently has Trump’s odds of being impeached at a pick’em. The yes and no options for this wager are both listed at -120 odds.
Unlike other offshore sites, BetOnline allows you to bet against an impeachment. For instance, BetUS also has odds on a Trump impeachment, but the only option is to bet on the impeachment happening. BetOnline is one of the few sites that offers the option of wagering against a successful impeachment.
Another important part of the bet is the time frame. For the “yes” option to hit, Trump must be impeached before the 2028 election winner is inaugurated. That means a “yes” wager will have until January 20th, 2029, to cash.
Finally, Trump simply needs to be impeached for this wager to win. If he is impeached but not removed from office, the “yes” option still wins.
Trump Is Impeached (-120)
In his first term, Trump made history by becoming the first President to be impeached twice. Despite his record-setting history of impeachments per lifetime, Trump is only listed at -120 to be impeached in his second term.
As mentioned above, Trump has already been accused of dozens of impeachable offenses in less than a year in office. Also, seven Articles of Impeachment have already been introduced this year. If he continues at this rate, the evidence for a Trump impeachment will continue to grow.
On the other hand, Trump will not be impeached so long as Republicans control the House of Representatives. The GOP currently holds a 219-213 majority over Democrats, and the remaining three seats are vacant.
Republicans must retain a minimum of 218 seats in the midterms to retain control of the House. If Democrats can flip enough seats, they will be able to try to impeach Trump for an unprecedented third time.
Trump Is Not Impeached (-120)
BetOnline also allows you to wager against a third Trump impeachment at -120 odds. Despite what his critics say, two major hurdles are preventing another impeachment of Trump.
First and foremost, as noted above, the Republicans control the House and the Senate. Without flipping the House, Democrats have little to no chance of successfully bringing Articles of Impeachment against Trump.
There are a handful of Republicans who have voted with Democrats to force the release of the Epstein files. However, even with some support from the GOP, Democrats have been unable to gain a majority. The same would likely be true for future impeachment attempts.
Another major factor in Trump’s favor is that, even if they win control of the House, the Democrats are notoriously slow. Dems would not assume control of the House until 2027, giving them just two years to impeach Trump.
Two years sounds like plenty of time to impeach a president successfully. However, Democratic leadership has a habit of focusing more on the process than the result, which bogs things down.
Additionally, if Trump is a lame-duck president without control of Congress, there will be Democrats who see that as enough of a “win.” They could drag their feet on impeachment to avoid rocking the boat with big money donors.
- Prediction: Trump is impeached -120
More Ways to Bet on Trump’s Current Term
In addition to wagering on a potential third Trump impeachment, BetOnline offers these other markets related to the length of his current term in office.
Trump Exit Date Odds
- 2025 (+350)
- 2026 (+300)
- 2027 (+675)
- 2028 (+650)
- 2029 or later (-110)
One of the many political futures at BetOnline is this market for Trump’s exit date. If he is impeached, the Senate will decide whether to remove Trump from office. None of the previous four successful impeachments, including the two against Trump, resulted in the president being removed from office.
There are other ways for Trump to leave office before the end of his term. He could resign, like Richard Nixon, or have the 25th Amendment invoked against him. Or, despite being the healthiest human to ever live, Trump, who turns 80 next year, could pass away before his term ends.
The favorite in this market is for Trump not to leave office until 2029 or later (-110). The president has hinted at trying to overturn the two-term limit imposed by the 22nd Amendment. BetOnline lists the odds at +5000 for the two-term limit to be removed by 2026.
The best odds for an early Trump exit are 2026, which is available at +300 odds. If this option materializes, it will occur before the Democrats have a chance to flip the House in the 2026 midterms.
Trump has access to the best doctors, and the GOP will not move against him until after the 2026 midterms at the earliest. I suggest betting on either Trump completing a full term (-110) or Dems removing him in 2027 (+675) after flipping both houses.
- Prediction: 2027 +675
Will Trump Complete a Full Term as President?
- Yes (-110)
- No (-130)
You can also bet strictly on whether Trump will complete his second presidential term. Unlike the bet above, this wager is simply a yes or no proposition. You do not need to specify the year that Trump’s term will prematurely end.
Neither option is available at plus money. However, unlike the bet above, Trump is not favored to finish a full term in this wager. It is only eight months into his term, and Trump is listed at -130 to have his term end early.
On the other hand, Trump completing his full term is listed at -110 in this wager. For this bet, Trump must make it until January 2029 to “complete” his term.
If the Democrats win enough seats next fall, they will undoubtedly try to impeach Trump in 2027. In theory, it could be easier to convince Republicans to go along with an impeachment if Trump is a lame duck. Also, the President’s declining health reduces the odds that Trump will complete his full term.
Considering those hurdles, I suggest the “no” option in this wager.
- Prediction: No -130
