Customer service can tell you a lot about an online casino. Most reviews that cover online casino customer service simply list the available support methods and stop there. A promise of 24/7 live chat means little if it takes 20 minutes to reach someone or if the agent cannot answer a simple question.

I put customer support at several leading online casinos to the test, measuring how quickly I could reach a real person, the quality of the answers I received, and how I was treated along the way.

How Do We Gauge Good Customer Service?

Good customer service is about more than getting a fast answer. A support agent who responds in 30 seconds but gives you incorrect information isn’t helpful.

I created a scoring system that considers both speed and experience quality. Each casino will receive a score from 1 to 5 in four categories, giving it a maximum possible score of 20.

Response Speed

I’ll time how long it takes to receive a response through live chat and email. For live chat, I’m looking for responses within five minutes. I consider any email reply within 12 hours a strong response.

Time to Reach a Real Person

Automated systems can resolve basic issues, but sometimes you need an actual support representative. I’ll track how many automated prompts, menus, or chatbot interactions I have to navigate before reaching someone who can answer our question.

account

Helpfulness

This is arguably the most important category. I’ll consider whether the representative understood the question, provided a complete answer, and gave me accurate information. A fast response won’t earn a high score if the information is wrong.

Friendliness

Customer service representatives don’t need to carry on a lengthy conversation, but they should be professional and courteous. I’ll consider the tone of the interaction, whether the agent seems willing to help, and whether I felt rushed.

I’ll add these four scores to determine my final rankings. To learn more about the processes that other reviewers and I use, including the factors we consider when evaluating online casinos, visit our How We Rank page.

The Approach

The biggest challenge with an experiment like this is making the comparison fair. I’ve found the best way to test casinos is to ask each brand the same types of questions.

I’ll test both live chat and email support when those options are available. Each casino will receive essentially the same questions, and I’ll independently verify the answers before scoring the representative for helpfulness.

For live chat, I typically ask a question about casino rollover:

“How much does each game contribute toward casino rollover?”

Once the representative answers, I’ll ask a follow-up:

“Is there a list of excluded games or categories of games?”

I chose this question because it’s not always covered in bonus overviews, and it can trip up players trying to clear bonuses.

You can also learn a lot about how customer service does business from a question like this. Will they simply send me to terms and conditions, or will they give incomplete answers?

For email, I picked a withdrawal question:

“Which withdrawal methods are available to US players?”

This may seem like a simple question, but in my experience, the withdrawal methods shown in the cashier often differ from what the site claims. For example, US players generally can’t cash out via card, although many sites claim you can.

In a couple of instances, I went outside this format. For example, in a couple of my tests, I had account issues, and I included my interactions in those situations.

Ultimately, I’m evaluating the entire process. I’m just as interested in what happens before I receive an answer as in the answer itself. If a chatbot forces me through six menus before letting me contact an agent, that’s part of the customer service experience. So is an email that receives an automated acknowledgment immediately, but I don’t receive an answer to my question until the following day.

I’m not trying to catch support representatives making mistakes. Instead, I’m trying to recreate the type of interaction an ordinary player might have when they genuinely need help.

The Test Subjects

I focused on established casinos with enough track record to be legitimate contenders for the best customer service title.

My test group consists of:

  • Wild Casino
  • Las Atlantis

Customer service is also only one part of choosing where to gamble. A casino could perform extremely well in this area but fall short in another area that matters to you. Our full online casino reviews examine games, bonuses, banking, security, usability, and other factors alongside customer support.

Most importantly, I don’t use claims like “24/7 support” as proof that a casino provides good service. I contact these casinos myself and judge what actually happens.

The Results

I spent five days contacting, or trying to contact, the sites on the list above. Here’s what happened.

DuckyLuck

ducky luck casino

DuckyLuck’s support system is a bit deceptive. While they claim to offer live chat and email support, I could only contact support via email. Multiple attempts to reach support via live chat failed. When I clicked the link, nothing happened, and this happened across multiple browsers and on mobile. I had more success over email.

DuckyLuck Review

I contacted support via email about the withdrawal options available, as I couldn’t access that part of the cashier. The responding agent was friendly and sent me detailed information about what was available. Overall, I was highly disappointed with support as the live chat was never available, which is a huge red flag.

Lucky Rebel

I initially contacted support about wagering contributions and was connected to an agent in about 30 seconds. The agent was very friendly and quickly pointed me to the terms that clearly outlined wagering. When I followed up about excluded games, he sent me another link that clearly outlined them.

Lucky Rebel Review

Unfortunately, email support was nowhere near as helpful. I emailed them a question about withdrawals, and after five days I had not heard back. Clearly, live support is the best, and maybe only option for fast support.

TheOnlineCasino

Live support starts with a chatbot, but once you’re transferred to support, an agent connects in about 20 seconds. The whole experience here felt rushed. When I asked about game contributions, he sent me a link and then bumped me over to new accounts. The link gave some information, and the new accounts agent confirmed that there were no additional exclusions.

TheOnlineCasino Review

I was much more impressed with email support. When I reached out about available withdrawal options, I got an answer in about 15 minutes. The agent gave a complete list of options and confirmed that cards are not a withdrawal option, despite the site claiming otherwise. Overall, support is efficient, even if it feels a little rushed at times.

Ignition Casino

For Ignition, I contacted support because I forgot my password and was locked out of my account. I contacted support to get it reactivated. The agent answered within 30 seconds and was incredibly friendly. I had all the proper verification information ready, so he placed me on hold for a minute to unlock the account. He came back and waited for me to verify that I was logged in before wrapping up the call. Overall, this interaction was fantastic.

Ignition Casino Review

Email support, not so much. I contacted support on a Tuesday with my withdrawal options question, and while the auto-reply claimed that they would get back to me in 24 hours, I still had not heard back after five days. Clearly, this is another site where you should stick with live chat whenever possible.

Wild Casino

Wild Casino Logo

At Wild Casino, Fin, the AI support bot, can answer many questions. The support bot handled my question about game contributions well. Since Wild Casino doesn’t use standard deposit bonuses, the only rollover is 1x on your deposit. When it mentioned “qualifying casino bets,” I asked it to explain, and it did, noting that any bet counts, with no game or category exclusions.

Wild Casino Review

Email support was basically nonexistent. I couldn’t find the support address, and Fin couldn’t figure out what I wanted, so I had to forward the request to a live agent. A couple of hours later, the live agent gave me the address. I sent an email, but after five days, I haven’t heard back. With Wild Casino, Fin is great for many low- to mid-tier questions, but connecting to a live agent may take a while, so pack a lunch.

Las Atlantis

Las Atlantis

Las Atlantis went out of its way to offer genuine support. When I asked an agent about wagering contributions, instead of sending me to a link, she took the time to explain how it works. She also did a great job of pointing out how this casino restricts access to some games while someone is playing on a bonus. This explanation is much better than rerouting someone to a list of terms.

Las Atlantis Review

Email support was just as efficient. When I messaged about withdrawal options, the agent replied with a thorough explanation of the available options, not a bullet list. Overall, I found agents incredibly friendly and better suited for customer support than most casinos I’ve ever played at. Honestly, the quality of support makes me want to take a closer look at this site to see if I want to add it to my playlist.

JacksPay Casino

jacks pay cpt logo

Like DuckyLuck, I couldn’t reach JacksPay Casino support via live chat. This was highly disappointing because the site claims live chat support, but when you click the option, it doesn’t load.

JacksPay Review

Fortunately, email responded to my query about withdrawal options in about 9 hours. They were very friendly and gave a detailed response. However, they closed the email with “If you need further assistance, our 24/7 live chat support is always available.” No, it’s not. If you need immediate help, you won’t get it here.

Bovada

I found Bovada’s live chat support a bit more proactive than some. When I asked about game contributions, the agent asked a clarifying question about whether I meant a specific game or in general. This is the only agent who took a proactive approach to my question, which is better than the “catch and dispatch” approach that most customer service agents take. He gave thorough answers, but it was also clear he was copying and pasting from the terms section. Still, he took the time to fully understand my question before answering, which was appreciated.

Bovada Logo

Bovada’s email support was unresponsive. Like with Ignition, I emailed them on Tuesday and did not hear back, even after five days. The live chat was efficient, but email support needs to step up their game.

Bovada Review

Slots Paradise

I connected to a live chat agent in just 10 seconds and was warmly greeted. I asked about game contributions, and after a couple of minutes, he replied with a brief explanation of percentages. When I followed up about excluded games, he put me on hold for a few minutes to look it up. His response was mostly accurate, but he didn’t mention that bonus buy games don’t count, as stated in the terms. Overall, live chat was friendly and relatively efficient, but fell a little short in accuracy.

slots paradise logo

Email support unfortunately never replied. I didn’t even get a confirmation email stating they received my request. As you can see from other providers, this appears to be a common fault with some support setups.

Slots Paradise Review

SlotsandCasino

slotsandcasino cpt logo

Of all the casinos on this list, SlotsandCasino ranks lowest because I couldn’t reach support. The help center links for live chat did not work. I submitted a request via the online form for email support but never received a response. This is a major red flag for anyone looking to play here, and I wouldn’t recommend playing until the casino resolves this issue.

Why Las Atlantis Has the Best Customer Service

Las Atlantis was the only casino in my test to earn a perfect 20/20 score, and what stood out most was how willing the agents were actually to answer my questions. Instead of simply sending a link to the terms when I asked about wagering contributions, the live chat agent explained how different games contribute and noted that some games are inaccessible while playing with a bonus.

Email support was equally impressive. I received a thorough explanation of the available withdrawal options, not just a simple list of payment methods. Both interactions felt like the agents were interested in helping, not just getting through the conversation as quickly as possible.

That’s ultimately what separated Las Atlantis from the competition. Several casinos had fast and friendly live chat agents, but Las Atlantis combined speed, accuracy, friendliness, and genuinely helpful responses across both support channels. After dealing with multiple casinos that never answered my emails or made live chat hard to access, it was refreshing to see both methods actually work as promised.

The Nerd Verdict

I started this experiment expecting the top casinos to provide relatively similar levels of customer service. Instead, I found significant differences, particularly in email support.

Las Atlantis delivered the best overall experience and was the only casino to score 20/20. LuckyRebel and TheOnlineCasino also performed well, while several other casinos provided excellent live chat support but lost points because their email support never responded. At the other end of the spectrum, SlotsandCasino earned a zero because I couldn’t successfully reach support through either method.

I’ll also be paying more attention to email support in future casino reviews. Before running this test, I didn’t expect unanswered emails to be such a common problem. That turned out to be one of the most surprising findings of the entire experiment.

The biggest takeaway from this experiment is that simply offering multiple support methods doesn’t guarantee a quality support experience. Before choosing a casino, look beyond claims of 24/7 customer service. You want support that’s easy to reach, answers questions accurately, and doesn’t make you chase down an agent when something goes wrong.
