WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 39 Odds and Picks

The newest addition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event airs this Saturday, May 24th. There are four matches on this weekend’s card, including a World Heavyweight Championship match between Jey Uso (c) and Logan Paul.
This guide will break down the latest WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event odds for this weekend’s event at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. I will tell you the current odds at top WWE betting sites, recap the storylines that led to this weekend’s matches, and give my predictions.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 39 Match Card
The 39th edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event includes a World Heavyweight Championship match, a steel cage match, and the long-awaited showdown between John Cena and R-Truth.
Here are the four matches scheduled for this Saturday’s event.
- Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul for the World Heavyweight Championship
- CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker
- John Cena vs. R-Truth
- Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre in a Steel Cage Match
This four-match card includes six current or former world champions. Despite being the third PLE in the last five weeks, there are still plenty of scores to settle on Saturday.
Saturday Night’s Main Event 39 Storylines
Uso won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41, taking down Gunther. He did not defend the title at Backlash, so this will be his first PLE defense. Logan Paul attacked Uso after an episode of Raw, setting up their title match this weekend.
Seth Rollins’ heel turn at ‘Mania shocked Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and fans around the world. Rollins has joined forces with Paul Heyman and up-and-coming powerhouse Bron Breakker.
Rollins and Breakker have attacked multiple people since forming their new faction, including their opponents this weekend, CM Punk and Sami Zayn. The likely presence of Heyman at ringside only adds more intrigue to this tag team match.
R-Truth assisted John Cena, his childhood hero, in retaining his Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash. In the presser after the event, Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment on Truth, sending him through a table. They will settle their differences this weekend in a non-title match.
Last but certainly not least, Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre will write the latest chapter in their long-running feud. Priest cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on McIntyre at WrestleMania 40, and the two have faced off at multiple PLEs since. At this year’s ‘Mania, McIntyre beat Priest, but the two have continued to butt heads over the last month.
WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Odds
Let’s take a closer look at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025 betting lines for this weekend’s event, courtesy of BetOnline.
Jey Uso (c) vs. Logan Paul
- Jey Uso (c) (-5000)
- Logan Paul (+1200)
Jey Uso’s climb to main event status concluded with a World Heavyweight Championship win at WrestleMania 41. After skipping Backlash, Uso will attempt his first PLE title defense this weekend against Logan Paul.
Paul attacked Uso off-air after the May 5th episode of Raw. The attack earned the former YouTube star a shot at Uso’s title this weekend.
Uso is a -5000 favorite to retain his belt this weekend, according to secure sports betting sites. Paul, conversely, is a +1200 underdog to win his first world championship in the WWE.
Paul has been given multiple title shots in the WWE, and he is a former United States Champion. However, he is still a part-timer for the company. With John Cena, the other world champion, also working a limited schedule, it is unlikely that a part-time wrestler like Paul would also claim a top belt.
The WWE has invested a lot into making Uso a top star. Ending the former tag-team specialist’s reign this weekend would tear down everything Uso has built over the last two years. With that in mind, there is no way that Uso drops the belt this weekend.
- Prediction: Joey Uso -5000
CM Punk and Sami Zayn vs. Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker
- CM Punk and Sami Zayn (+700)
- Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker (-2000)
Seth Rollins’ heel turn at WrestleMania helped him win the main event triple-threat match on night one. In the weeks since, Rollins has strengthened his alliance with Paul Heyman by recruiting Bron Breakker.
Among the many people that Rollins and Breakker have attacked since joining forces are CM Punk and Sami Zayn. Punk lost to Rollins in a triple-threat at ‘Mania. Zayn, on the other hand, is appearing at his first PLE since Elimination Chamber: Toronto.
Rollins and Breakker are a -2000 favorite in this tag team match. BetOnline lists Punk and Zayn as +700 underdogs.
The new faction of Rollins and Breakker needs to win this match to solidify them as a force to be reckoned with on Raw. Punk and Zayn, conversely, have been thrown together out of necessity. They are unlikely to continue to team together after Saturday, so they can afford to lose this weekend.
Heyman is also likely to play a part in this match. He betrayed Punk at ‘Mania to unite with Rollins. His presence at the ringside will be a distraction for Punk and give an edge to Rollins and Breakker. Punk and Zayn will put Rollins and Breakker over at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
- Prediction: Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker -2000
John Cena vs. R-Truth
- John Cena (-5000)
- R-Truth (+1000)
John Cena’s record-setting championship victory at WrestleMania 41 added a new twist to his retirement tour. He retained the belt in his final showdown with Randy Orton at Backlash, thanks in large part to interference from R-Truth.
Truth stopped Orton from punting Cena’s head off in St. Louis. Cena repaid Truth by AA-ing him through a table at the post-show press conference.
R-Truth has not won a singles match at a PLE since he defeated Joseph Average at Fastlane 2021 for the now defunct 24/7 Championship. Average had beaten Truth earlier that night for the belt.
Cena will still be the Undisputed Champion regardless of what happens this weekend, as this is a non-title match. Even with the belt being safe, a loss to a mid-carder like Truth would look bad on Cena’s resume.
With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that Cena is a -5000 favorite to beat R-Truth (+1000) on Saturday. It should be an entertaining, albeit quick match that Cena ultimately wins. Beating up a fan-favorite like Truth will add a new level to Cena’s first heel run as a top star in the WWE.
- Prediction: John Cena -5000
Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre
- Damian Priest (-250)
- Drew McIntyre (+170)
The next chapter in the Damian Priest vs. Drew McIntyre rivalry will also be written this weekend. Counting multi-man matches like the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber, Priest and McIntyre have squared off seven times at PLEs since WrestleMania 40.
Their most recent PLE singles match was at WrestleMania 41, where McIntyre beat Priest in a Sin City Street Fight. McIntyre and Priest also squared off at Backlash as part of a fatal four-way for the WWE United States Championship. Priest cost McIntyre the win before choke slamming him through a table in the production area.
On Saturday, the two rivals will face off in a steel cage match. Priest is the -250 favorite, with McIntyre a close underdog at +170. At his current odds, the Scottish Warrior has a 37.04% implied win probability to pull off the upset.
McIntyre went over a ‘Mania, but Priest has largely had the upper hand in their PLE showdowns. Conversely, small underdogs like McIntyre have a great history of winning. For example, Lyra Valkryia was a +250 underdog but was able to beat Becky Lynch and retain her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship at Backlash.
Neither of these former champions is in a position to legitimately challenge for a top belt any time soon. So, I would not be surprised if this feud continues at Money in the Bank or another PLE later this year. With that in mind, I think Mcintyre will cheat his way to the upset victory on Saturday.
- Prediction: Drew McIntyre +170
