The early Wimbledon betting odds predict a tight battle between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner for the Challenge Cup. There will be fierce competition in the women’s bracket, too, with three players listed at 5-1 odds or better of winning the Venus Rosewater Dish.

I will break down the latest Wimbledon Championship odds for the 2025 tournament in this free guide. In addition to covering the odds from top online sportsbooks, I will highlight the top competitors and give my 2025 Wimbledon predictions.

The Road to Wimbledon

Before diving into this year’s Wimbledon odds, let’s take a closer look at the biggest events in tennis so far. The Australian Open was full of exciting moments, and the French Open, which is still going on at the time of writing, is shaping up to be just as thrilling. After a PED violation, a suspension was also handed out to one of the sport’s biggest stars.

2025 Australian Open

The 2025 Grand Slam events kicked off with the Australian Open.

Jannik Sinner, the defending champion, entered the tournament as the number-one ranked men’s player in the world. He took down Ben Shelton and Alexander Zverev in the semifinals and finals, respectively, to win back-to-back Norman Brookes Challenge Cups.

In the women’s bracket, 19th-seeded Madison Keys shocked Iga Świątek in the semifinals. Keys also took down Aryna Sabalenka in the finals to claim her first Grand Slam win of her career.

Jannik Sinner Suspension

Sinner started the year by defending his Australian Open title, but 2025 quickly took a downturn for the young star. In 2024, Sinner tested positive for Clostebol, a banned performance-enhancing drug (PED).

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) announced in February that Sinner would be suspended for three months. His suspension ended on May 4th, allowing Sinner to compete in the 2025 French Open.

2025 French Open

After serving his PED suspension, Sinner returned to competition for the Italian Open, the traditional warm-up tournament for the French Open. So far at Roland Garros, Sinner has made it to the fourth round.

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz is also still competing and has qualified for the Quarterfinals. Alexander Zverev, Lorenzo Musetti, Tommy Paul, and Frances Tiafoe have made it to the quarterfinals as well.

In the women’s bracket, three-time defending champion Iga Świątek faces stiff competition in her current title defense. She has made the quarterfinals and will take on Elina Svitolina.

Other quarterfinals matchups include Aryna Sabalenka vs. Zheng Qinwen and Mirra Andreeva vs. Loïs Boisson. Coco Gauff also made the quarterfinals and will face Madison Keys.

Early Wimbledon Favorites

Here are four stars to keep an eye on at the grass courts of Wimbledon.

Carlos Alcaraz

Two-time defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz is 18-2 at the event. It is his best Grand Slam tournament with a winning percentage of 90%. Both his championships have come by defeating Novak Djokovic in the finals, and Djokovic has made six consecutive finals.

Aryna Sabalenka

Aryna Sabalenka is the top contender in the women’s Wimbledon bracket. The 27-year-old is the top-ranked player in the WTA rankings. However, she has never made it past the semifinals in this tournament, and she has missed the tournament two of the last three years.

Jannik Sinner

Despite missing three months with a suspension, Jannik Sinner is still the top-ranked player in the ATP rankings. Sinner has made it to at least the quarterfinals at Wimbledon in three straight years, but he has never won the event.

Iga Świątek

Former world number-one Iga Świątek is another contender to watch at this year’s Wimbledon. She has five grand slam wins, but four of those have come at the French Open. Her career best at this tournament came in 2023 when she made it to the quarterfinals.

The defending women’s champion, Barbora Krejčíková, is listed at +2000 to repeat.

Carlos Alcaraz (+150)

Wimbledon’s grass courts have been kind to Alcaraz in recent years. He is the two-time defending champion and has made it to at least the fourth round in three of his four career appearances.

Alcaraz has defeated Novak Djokovic in back-to-back years to claim the Gentlemen’s Singles Trophy. He also took down Jannik Sinner earlier this year to win the Italian Open.

Jannik Sinner (+160)

Speaking of Sinner, he is a close second in the early Wimbledon Championship odds at +160. Despite the odds, Wimbledon is tied for Sinner’s worst Grand Slam with a winning percentage of 76%.

Sinner has never made it past the semifinals, losing to Novak Djokovic two of the last three years. On the other hand, he did beat Alcaraz on the legendary grass courts when they faced off in 2022.

Novak Djokovic (+450)

Novak Djokovic has been nearly unstoppable at Wimbledon in the final years of his career. He has made the finals every year since 2018 and has won the event a total of seven times. However, the veteran has lost in the finals two straight years against Alcaraz.

Djokovic is listed at +450 odds to win Wimbledon this year. He is 97-12 in this tournament in his legendary career, and 382-52 overall in Grand Slam tournaments.

Aryna Sabalenka (+350)

On the women’s side, world number one Aryna Sabalenka is the betting favorite at +350 odds. Sabalenka has been absent from two of the last three Wimbledon tournaments.

On the other hand, she has made the semifinals in her last two appearances. Sabalenka lost to Karolína Plíšková and Ons Jabeur in 2021 and 2023, respectively, in her last two appearances at Wimbledon.

Iga Świątek (+500)

Two players are tied for the second-best odds to win the Women’s Wimbledon tournament at 5-1 each. The first is Iga Świątek, who will be making her sixth appearance at the event.

Świątek has won at least 76% of her matches at the other three Grand Slams. However, Wimbledon’s grass courts have given the Polish tennis star nothing but trouble. She has won just 69% of her matches in this tournament and has never made it past the quarterfinals round.

In two of the last three years, Świątek was stopped in the third round. However, despite her struggles in previous years, it is tough to bet against the 24-year-old given her speed and power.

Elena Rybakina (+500)

The other player available at +500 in the current women’s Wimbledon odds is Elena Rybakina. Despite being only 25, Rybakina has been a professional player for over a decade. However, she only has one Grand Slam win.

That win came at Wimbledon in 2022 when Rybakina took down Ons Jabeur. Rybakina made the quarterfinals in 2023 and the semifinals last year. Wimbledon is by far her best Grand Slam event, and she has a winning percentage of 86%.

Rybakina’s aggressive style can be a blessing and a curse. However, if she can control the match with her serve, which can reach up to 127 MPH, then she will be a tough out for anyone on the grass courts this year.

2025 Wimbledon Predictions

The French Open is entering the quarterfinals, but it is never too early to look ahead to Wimbledon. The grass courts of the legendary stadium help it stand out from the other Grand Slams.

Carlos Alcaraz has won back-to-back Wimbledon Championships, but Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner cannot be counted out. Likewise, Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Świątek, and Elena Rybakina are in a three-woman race for this year’s Venus Rosewater Dish.

Here are my 2025 Wimbledon predictions:

  • Jannik Sinner (+160)
  • Iga Świątek (+500)

Sinner and Świątek have both had their fair share of struggles at Wimbledon. However, these young stars will both silence any questions about their ability to win on grass courts with victories at Wimbledon this year.
