Adrian Mateos continues to make his case as the best young poker player in the world. The 31-year-old Spaniard made history at this year’s World Series of Poker by winning his sixth bracelet. Mateos, who is fifth on the all-time money list, is the youngest player to win six bracelets.
Mateos’ History-Making Win
Mateos, one of the best poker players in the world, won his record-setting sixth WSOP bracelet by taking the top spot in the $250,000 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller event at this year’s WSOP.
Winning the highest buy-in event at the 2026 WSOP is an accomplishment in itself. Mateos’ win becomes even more impressive given the competition he beat to secure the bracelet. The final table included the likes of Jason Koon, Bryn Kenney, and Phil Ivey.
Mateos’ win also netted him over $4.3 million in prize money for winning the high-roller event.
This is not the first time Mateos has made history at the WSOP. In 2017, he became the youngest player to win three WSOP bracelets, doing so at just 22 years old.
What Other Bracelets has Mateos Won?
His most recent win made history, but Mateos has been a force at the WSOP for many years. Matteos’ full list of WSOP bracelets includes:
- 2013: €10,450 No Limit Hold’em Main Event (WSOP Europe)
- 2016: $1,500 Summer Solstice No Limit Hold’em
- 2017: $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Heads Up Championship
- 2021: $250,000 Super High Roller No Limit Hold’em
- 2025: $3,200 High Roller No Limit Hold’em (Online)
- 2026: $250,000 No-Limit Hold’em Super High Roller
His $4.3 million win this year was the biggest pot Mateos has won at a WSOP event, topping the $3.2 million he won to go along with his bracelet in 2021.
Mateos’ success is not limited to the WSOP, either. He also has seven European Poker Tour titles and is the all-time leader on Spain’s all-time poker winnings list.
