BGaming continues its collaboration with well-known street artists with the upcoming release of Yokai. Releasing on July 6th, Yokai will be the first-ever slot game in BGaming’s ART Collab Series. It offers a high RTP and multiple special features alongside the artwork of Portuguese graffiti artist and visual artist Gonçalo MAR.
BGaming’s Work With Local Artists
BGaming, one of the top iGaming software developers, has worked with street artists since 2023 to reimagine the art design of its casino games.
Half a dozen artists have already been featured in the “When Art Meets Gaming” initiative, including:
- Thumbs (ICE London 2023)
- I AM EELCO (iGB Live 2023)
- Jay Kaes (SBS Summit Barcelona 2023)
- MARCAMIX (SiGMA Europe Summit 2023)
- Mr Cenz (ICE London 2024)
- Clandestinos Art (SiGMA Americas)
Artists reimagined classic BGaming characters for art exhibitions worldwide.
Gonçalo MAR, BGaming Team Up for Yokai
BGaming is taking its collaboration with street artists to a new level by teaming up with Portuguese graffiti and visual artist Gonçalo MAR to create Yokai. It will be the first slot game in the ART Collab series and will feature artwork by Gonçalo MAR himself.
Yokai Slot by the Numbers
In addition to being the first of its kind at BGaming, Yokai has all the trappings of a great slot game. It has a high RTP and tons of bonus features to keep players coming back for more.
- RTP: 97.00%
- Pay lines: 20
- Max. multiplier: 8,000x
- Max. win: $256,000
- Grid: 5×3
The game is set in an ancient Japanese forest and showcases many common themes of the genre. It also has tons of bonus features, including free spins, wilds, sticky wilds, and prize multipliers.
My Experience With the Yokai Slot
Yokai is not out yet, but I was able to play the free early-release demo to see if it is one of the best BGaming slots. I played over 100 spins to try out this upcoming game ahead of its release next week. For my test, I started by betting $2 per spin in demo funds.
The visuals were nice to look at, but unfortunately, luck was not on my side. Even with the bonus multipliers from wilds, I ended up down nearly $170 in free bet funds after my 100 spins. I did not trigger the free spins round in the base game, and the game’s low hit rate gradually ate through my bankroll.
After failing in my first 100 spins, I used the Buy Feature to double my chance of activating free spins for a 50% stake increase. I got my biggest win of the game, just over $35, and after 19 spins at the increased rate, I finally triggered the feature and won 10 free spins.
With the help of sticky wilds and their stacking prize multipliers, I won $67.30 in my 10 free spins. Using the buy feature helped me win back over $82 of my losses, but I still ended up down over $85 in my short time playing.
