The game releases tomorrow, but I tested an early release demo of Hooked on Fishing: Croc of the Nile. I played 100 spins at $2 per spin to see if this game’s bonus features have what it takes to be one of the hits of the summer.

In my test, it only took 24 spins to trigger the free spins round. During the feature, only three of 10 spins were winners, which was not enough to trigger additional spins. However, I still won $53 thanks to the fish finder feature and a $30 win on a single spin.

My biggest win in the base game was $42, but I was able to trigger the random crocodile attack for a small $6 win. Despite these features, I was down $74.20 after my first 100 spins.

After failing to trigger the jackpot game in my first 100 spins, I decided to use the buy feature to activate it. Based on my $2 stake, the feature cost $70 to activate. 

In the pick-style min game, I found the crocodile symbol, which doubled one random jackpot. In my game, it picked the minor jackpot, doubling the prize to $120. As luck would have it, I found the three symbols for the Minor Jackpot, earning $50 in profit from the feature.

I was still down $24.20, but I exceeded the game’s 96.04% RTP thanks to the buy feature. After using the Buy Feature a second time and again winning the Minor Jackpot with the 2x multiplier thanks to the secret croc symbol, I finished with a $25.80 profit.
