After 25 hands, we ended up slightly profitable at + $30, but it was a nerve-wracking ride. The largest bet we had to place was $160 to recover losses. That shows the inherent risk of employing the Martingale system.

What We Learned From Testing Martingale in Baccarat

Looking at the table, a few key takeaways emerge:

• Big Bets Can Happen Fast – The worst streak in this session occurred between hands 14 to 16, where four consecutive losses forced the bet up to $160 before a win finally reset the progression. If the losing streak had continued, we could have faced bets as high as $320, $640, or even more.
