The Nerd’s Experience With St. Patrick’s Pots Hold & Win

I tested St. Patrick’s Hold & Win to see if the game is as good as advertised. To keep my experience fair, I played exactly 100 spins at $1 each at Red Dog Casino.

Unfortunately, in my short test, I was unable to make a profit on my first 100 spins of St. Patrick’s Hold & Win. My biggest win in the base game was a mere $2.80. On the bright side, I did trigger the Hold & Win feature twice.

My first Hold & Win round was my most successful part of my initial test. I won $21, the biggest win of my first 100 spins. The second time around was less successful and only netted me $6.

I finished my first experiment down 50 units, and my return did not come anywhere close to the 97.75% listed.

To fully test the game, I used the Buy Bonus feature. You have four options for the Buy Bonus: 2x feature chance for 0.4x stake, Hold & Win with 1 feature for 70x stake, 1-3 random features for 200xx, or guaranteed 3 bonus features for 1,000x. I rolled the dice and did the biggest Buy Bonus to see if it was worth the risk.

Unfortunately, my bad luck continued. I landed one symbol each for the major and minor jackpots but did not get enough bonus symbols to win either. Also, my final multiplier was only 477x, failing to cover the high buy-in cost.
